Beauty. What is it?

Have any of you ever felt like being someone else? Someone skinnier, curvier, bigger eyes, pimple-free face, killer smile, sexy body, thicker hair, thinner hair, silky hair, skinnier thighs, thicker arms....? Someone who's extremely popular, confident, soft-spoken, sweet, cheerful..? I bet everyone thought of that at least once. It's so hard to love ourselves because we know our own flaws. We want to be what we are not because we have different interpretations of beauty.

Have any of you walked passed crowds, and wonder what are each and everyone of them are thinking? Wonder what is their life-changing experiences, what makes them who they are today? Wonder what type of person are they, how many lives have they touched and changed?

I'm trying to see everyone from different angles and perspectives; learn their strong points instead of just looking at at their weaknesses and judge them for that. See the beauty in everything, in everyone. It's amazing how much that will change.

I'm not perfect; I still judge people without learning more about them. I'm trying though. Always trying to reach out to someone each day. Learn something new about the people around me. Understand them better. Even if the person may be close to me, there's still so much to discover, so much experience that I don't know they've been through, so much emotions that I never knew they felt.

All we have to do is just to be in their shoes. Think: How will you feel if you're the one going through all these? What would you have done? They may not have the typical beauty everyone looks for, they may not even be nice people to even begin with. But has anyone ever thought why are they acting this way? What do they think everyday?

That's pretty much why I'm a servant leader. I believe strongly in serving others. I don't lead because I want the power. I lead because I want to touch people's lives and change them for the better. I lead because I want everyone to be happy together.

Granted, it's hard to continue doing this everyday. Deep down, we're all selfish. Because, if we don't think for ourselves, who will?

Everyone is beautiful in their own ways. Learn to appreciate the little beauty around us, see the world in a different light, and you'll be happier.

I've been thinking about this issue for days, but I can't seem to find the right words to write them all out. It's sort of jumbled and everything, but it's what I think. Good night everyone, I love you guys.

Hi guys!

I've promised earlier on that I'll do a post on my dance past, so here it is! I won't include all the performances I've been involved in cos I didn't take any photos for that event.

Here it goes!

2008

I was hesitating between Chinese Dance and Choir when I was in Sec 1. But because Choir has to audition whereas Dance didn't have to, Chinese Dance became my first choice. And I'm so glad of my choice because it is where my passion lies. Fuhua Chinese Dance Club also allowed me to grow so much & meet so many awesome people.

1. Cultural Night

Song: Ju Hua Tai - Jay Chou

I remembered only a few Secondary 1s got selected. Because ALL of us didn't have dance background (except for one or two I think?), the teacher selected based on our attitudes when we were learning how to do conditioning (stretching).

And I screwed the performance. Because when I was about to enter the stage, awesome Weiyi stepped on my long sleeves and dragged it down. I didn't have time to adjust it back, and it distracted me, thus all my movements went haywire. Oh well, at least it was a fun experience. Especially with Weiyi's thick and black eyebrows (Inside joke :p)

2. Teachers' Day Celebration

Song: Whenever Wherever - Shakira

We learnt a Hip Hop dance from an outside instructor, but I think he changed it to Jazz-HipHop because we were really lousy? But the dance movements he decided on was too sexy for us haha! I think we were all pretty woody.

3. Fuhua Open House

Song: Whenever Wherever - Shakira

This is sort of self-explanatory. We danced the same dance again, and yes, still very woody. You can watch the video I embed.

4. Deeparaya Concert

Song: - (I'm not sure, It's a combination of 4 songs.)

4 of us got selected to dance an Indian dance with some seniors. It was an eye-opener, and it was lots of fun! Although I screwed it again because I forgot my moves. Still, it's one of the most memorable performances because it was really fun.

5. Dance chalet

This chalet is very memorable to me because I begged my parents like crazy so that I can attend the chalet. But they refused to let me stay overnight; I can only attend the BBQ. I got closer to Haisong during the chalet :)

2009

2009 is the most memorable year for me. It's the first time I put in my 100%, perspired like mad in every practice, aching everywhere the next morning, and my thighs grew big... With muscles.

I was also elected to be the Sec 2 Head.

Yeah la, show off. It's the first time I was able to do both sides. I think I can't do it anymore, so this photo is very precious to me :p

1. Singapore Youth Festival

Song: Hai Zhi Ge

Everyone of us worked extremely hard for this SYF. Okay maybe not everyone, but majority. Especially the guys. They are the best guys we had during my years in Fuhua Dance.

And we got Gold with Honours =) We all cried together cos it was really unexpected as we were just expecting a Gold. From this SYF onwards, I started to put in my 100% instead of fretting about the perspiration, hair and whatnot. It was a life-changing experience for me.

2. Dance Presentation

Song: Hai Zhi Ge

Fuhua Dance was invited to perform, and it's a privilege cos only the "best" items gets to perform. The photos above are the finale. I'm in the middle with Haisong. These photos are memorable cos it was the only time where I get to dance a couple dance with him. It was really fun learning the finale dance moves. And all six of us got to bond better =)

3. Batam Leadership Experiential Camp

I was selected to go for this camp by my teacher-in-charge. And I really appreciated it because the camp helped to develop my character. I became more confident and learnt to persevere. The camp masters woke us up aeound 2-3am to do physical training for us on our first night, and we were only allowed back to sleep at 4-5am. All of us were very exhausted but none complained. We knew this would help us grow and develop. It's super tough, but to me, that's the highlight of the camp. And I really enjoyed the entire process.

4. One People Camp

I was selected to go to this camp by my teacher-in-charge again. Truth to be told, I didn't even know it's for Racial Harmony. And because it was my Dance teacher-in-charge who selected me, I thought it's something related to dance.

2010

Around May, I got elected by the teachers to be the Vice-Chairman of Dance because Jermine was still the Chairman. This is a major achievement for me because I never thought I would have the chance to lead.

1. YOG Performance at Marina Bay

Song: Chun Xiao

This is the first time we danced with our long-neglected juniors. The costumes were pretty, but I think we were all very messy. I remembered getting quite frustrated because I was wondering why some of them couldn't execute the moves. You can watch the performance at the video above.

2. Chinese Folk Dance Workshop

A few of us volunteered to go to this workshop because it teaches us some of the Chinese folk dances, which will be useful to us because we were going to dance Chinese folk dance for our next SYF. We had to travel from the extreme West side to the extreme East side. It was tiring, but I learnt quite a lot from this workshop.

3. 21st Century Arts Festival 2010 Dance competition in Genting

We achieved Silver award, which was actually rather unexpected because the stage was very small so there were many errors. I had a rather pleasant time there. Except for one incident which made me upset and changed my opinion of that person, whom I really respect. Weiyi and I mostly stayed in our rooms when we had free time instead of running to the other dancers' rooms because we were located super far away from the rest. At least we had a bigger room..

4. Mdm Oen's Farewell

Dance held a farewell for our previous principal, Mdm Oen, to show our appreciation as she supported us a lot for the past few years.

2011

It's my last year in Fuhua Dance. I was sad because I had to leave, but glad too, because I can finally concentrate on my studies.

1. Singapore Youth Festival

It wasn't as enjoyable nor as bonded as the previous SYF team, but it was still good while it lasted. I wasn't really very happy with the new instructor because his heart was not always with us when we dance. We won a Gold award, which was expected. I believe that our group was also graded slightly stricter as we were the first group of the day.

2. Fuhua Dance Appreciation Day

It was the day where I stepped down and passed my position to my lovely juniors. I was very happy, yet sad. Happy because the I've done my job pretty well (In my opinion) without much errors. Sad because it signifies the end of my life as a dancer in Fuhua.

3. SYF Closing Ceremony

Song: Mu Ge

This is the last performance I'm involved in as a Fuhua dancer. And sadly, it wasn't the best. There were a few major problems, but I'm glad at least the girls maintained the standard.

This is the end of my dance history/past. I'm looking forward to continue adding more events and experience. So yes, I'm definitely considering PJC's Modern Dance. Hope I can get in! (Because the competition's pretty stiff; there's about 90+ people who were interested 0.0)

It's like you don't even bother to do anything anymore for us, for me. I'm just like every other girl out there. I want someone who genuinely wants to spend time with me, enjoys being with me. Someone who occasionally surprise me with little things he's done for me. Someone who doesn't always think about other things when I'm talking. Just listen attentively so that I don't have to repeat myself. Someone who loves me for who I am instead of always trying to change me, even its for the better. Someone who cares for me, someone who knows what I'm thinking without even me having to say it. Someone who remembers all our anniversaries and monthsaries and whatnot and prepare something sweet that requires preparation a few days before instead of a rushed-out-half-fucked letter that is just setting more "goals" for me, shaping me to his ideal girl. Someone who hugs me tightly like he never wants to let me go, and means it when he says "I love you". Someone who doesn't hurt me. Someone who keeps to his promise instead of breaking them like nobody's business. And most importantly, someone that makes me feel important and loved.

Someone who does this when I said I liked flowers, instead of fucking saying, "meh, flowers die very quickly. Waste of money.":

But apparently, like all the other girls outside, this someone is unreachable.

On a side note, I'm going eating dinner alone tonight cos someone gave me mixed signals and then implied I'm childish and ridiculous for actually being pissed about it, and that I should be more understanding because he's a Very Busy Man and has so much bloody things to complete. Oh yes, he has school tomorrow! Like I don't??

I went back to Fuhua last Friday with Weiyi and Elmira to see the CNY celebration and of course, to support my dancers. I think they did pretty well, considering that they only had 2 weeks to learn the dance steps + they had a new dance instructor again. Helped the girls and guys with the make up and hair before their performance. Chatted with some teachers after the celebration. It's good to see my teachers looking happy :) I also managed to catch up with Peihan cos we ate lunch together, along with Haisong. I really missed that joker :')

Anyway, I was at my cousin's house yesterday to bainian and of course, munch on their endless tidbits :p Many of my relatives said I grew fat! Never mind, when I go to my new school, there'll be P.E. I didn't take much photos yesterday cos I was so lazy and tired. I shouye-ed the eve of CNY. It's believed that the longer you shouye, the longer your parents lifespan will be.

To make up for the lack of CNY photos, I'll add in the photos my cousin was holding back from me. It's taken at USS, sometime back in November last year.

I'll prolly do a post on my dance "past" in the next post. Inspired by Szeki to do it after I read her post.

Hi, I'm back! Please ignore my previous posts. Had some rough time with Haisong, but I'm glad everything's fine now. I shall do a brief post about my 2011, although it's been 18 days since 2012 started.

January

I felt the stress of Os and started studying slightly harder, like making sure that I complete my homework on time, even to the extent of staying back after school to complete them. School ended later than last year too. And we had the study camp in school.

It was the 2nd year I'm together with Haisong.

February

Went to Weiyi's house or CNY visit.

Fell sick a week before Common Test.

No photos as I was busy studying and thought I should take lesser photos.

February was a really horrible month for me. Family problems and everything.

March

One week of holidays filled with remedials and homework. There wasn't even really any time to rest. Dance began to have more practices. Tests starting coming in. I was beginning to feel stressed and worried for Os, especially for Chemistry because I keep getting F9s.

We also had a dance exchange program with one of the other schools Xu Lao Shi was teaching. Went to Enaq very early with some other dancers for breakfast before we went to school.

April

Had SYF! During this month, I couldn't really be bothered about studying because I was so tired from the dance practices. Besides, SYF is looming. Had Gold Award and we were pretty satisfied. Everyone was so bonded.

Haisong had his Talentime competition and I was so proud for him because he danced so well.

Quarelled with someone who was really important to me at that point in time because he made some insensitive remark, and he deleted me from his Fb friends' list. I felt really upset, but now I've moved on.

May

It was a good-and-bad month for me.

Had my mid-year exams, and I did really badly. L1R5 was 30+. I felt so ashamed and I didn't want my parents to sign my report book.

Met a super irresponsible seller and wasted 2+ hours of my time.

Went to Weiyi's house after the mid-years to watch movies.

Stepped down and passed my Vice-Chairman post to Huiyi. Super touched by the gift dance made for me.

Went out with Weiyi for my early birthday celebration. Jingyi couldn't come cos of her eye infection. A stranger gave us a friendship card and wished for us to be friends forever.

June

Had meet-the-parents session on my birthday. Unlucky much? Cried in front of my form teacher; it was really embarrassing. Mummy was so disappointed with me.

Mr Gan left, and to be honest, I was angry with him for "deserting" us halfway then. Now, I'm just sort of glad, because under Mrs You's supervision, my maths grades improved pretty drastically.

Went to a few fleas with Qiongdan and Ziilia. We're all pretty pleased with what we got. They also gave me birthday cards and a dress. Super touched cos I wasn't expecting it.

Managed to spent time with Haisong. It was the happiest times for me. He also treated me Ichiban Sushi to celebrate my birthday.

July

July's a good month for me.

Went out with Haisong to town to celebrate his birthday. Was very happy cos it's been a long time since we had a "proper" date out. We also went to the railway track for the first time (and probably our last too).

Homework load suddenly increased a lot. My student hand book are filled to the brim with the lists of homework we had to do. Kept staying back in school, and I'm proud to say that I managed to complete at least 98% of them, even though there was still dance practices.

Had Racial Harmony celebration in school. I had very bad cramps in the morning and Qiongdan gave me her pink pill. Luckily it was gone by 12+. Wore an indian costume that Elmira lent me.

Performed in SYF Closing Ceremony. It was the last time I'm going to dance as a Fuhua Chinese Dancer.

Won a prize from QiuQiu too.

August

Won a hamper from Xiaxue. I was so happy, although I didn't managed to see her personally :)

Homework continued to pile in, and my stress grew. Had my O-level English Oral and I think I did pretty well.

Had my prelims at the end of the month.

No photos for this month because I was too tired & stressed to take photos.

September

Continued to have my prelims. Didn't score well, L1R5 was 20+, but at least I had an improvement of about 7 grades. Was happy, yet worried.

Had Teachers' Day celebration. Everyone momentarily forgot about O-levels.

Stayed back in school almost everyday. Attended night study for the first time. Stress and work mounted. Pimples broke out, and my hair started dropping. Pestered Mr Sreeni & Mrs You about the questions I'm not sure. Thank you, my teachers. I really appreciate your help. ♥

October

Had my graduation day! Was very tired cos I was up till 2am doing small cards for my subject teachers to show my appreciation to them. Started to get closer to Yongfang and Elmira thanks to Weiyi.

O-Levels started on the 24th. I mugged really hard and prayed almost everyday. Slept at 2am and work up at 4am to mug, especially when the next day's paper is a content-heavy one. When I was tired and wanted to give up, I told myself, "I don't want to ruin my future. Just stay up a while longer, and I can memorise more. And score more marks. This is crucial. Just bear with it, a few days more to go!" When I think I screwed one paper, I will say to myself, "This is just one paper. There's a lot more other papers. I don't have to rely my marks on this paper that I screwed." And I learnt not to ever say, "That one won't come out one lah~"

November

O-Levels finally ended on the 14th. Haisong treated me Ichiban Sushi to celebrate the end of my Os on that day. I was really really happy. I felt that I've done my best. Now, I just have to wait for my results.

My class also won the Most Respectful Class award some time back, but I can't remember when.

Went to Universal Studios (USS), courtesy of my fourth aunt, for the first time. I had so much fun. Especially when playing the killer red roller coaster and the Egyptian ride.

After a week of playing though, I started to feel lost, so I looked for jobs. And got one.

December

Worked as Sales Associate in Marks & Spencer, Centrepoint Mall. Was very eager for work (Yeah, crazy me). I was posted to the fitting room, though I have to help out with other stuff at times too. I even love working, making the bras and whatnot properly so that they can be displayed again. Until about 2 weeks before Christmas. After that, it was neck breaking work. I managed to slim down from all the fats I gained during the O-levels period, and gained friends. But I had very little time for Haisong because I work 6 days a week. We managed to go to Botanic Gardens and a trip to town during my off days though. It was so tiring, those 5 weeks. Cried on the last day of work cos I'll really miss my colleagues.

Won a dress from http://www.fairebelle.com/ at the end of the month, and I was really happy ^^ Go support the blogshop okay? Their clothes are really pretty, I promise.

So this is a "summary" of my 2011. 2011 flew by so quickly for me. I guess I can say that it's one of the best years of my life. I know I know, I'm pretty draggy. At the very least, I hope that you enjoyed the photos!

Hi, I'm back! At an ungodly hour, again.

I've already submitted my JAE registration yesterday, and PJC is my first choice. Lots of people asked me why I chose that school, and the reason is that PJC has the subject I want. Anyway, a few days back, I was feeling so stressed up about choosing which school cos of the subject combination and I posted a status: "omg super stress Y JC SUBJECT COMBI SO HARD TO CHOOSE T_T"... And I got 170 comments. Haha. Of course I commented too. But this shows how kiasu my friends & classmates are.

When I was on the train back from PJC Open House, I got pretty emotional. What if I made the wrong choice? What if I don't like the school culture? What if the choices I made will make me and Haisong grow apart? What if, what if....? I guess it's pretty normal. Going to a new school signifies a new start, a start whereby I have to do everything from scratch. Make new friends, new places to see, new things to learn, new teacher, new environment, new CCA.. Although I won't say Fuhua is a very good school, I'm still thankful cos Fuhua gave me so many beautiful memories.

Oh and yes, I went back to Fuhua to see my lovely dancers after the Open House. They got a new instructor! But I forgot to ask what's the instructor's name haha. The dance that they're working on needs a lot of energy, so yes, good luck to those dancers chosen to dance it! I'll be watching the performance~ :)

Really don't know what to say to you. It's like everything has changed.

3 years.. Is it time for both of us to move on..?

It's 2.30am now and I'm not sleeping yet. And I still have to go to PJC open house tomorrow. No, strike that. Later. I'm tired but I can't bring myself to go to bed. These few days has been sort of a roller coaster of emotions for me. I took back my O level results a few days back and I'm pleased with it, although I know that a lot of people got 10-11 points. Have already submitted my JAE application. Sigh. Shall not talk anymore, bed's luring me. Pictures next post, promise! Night readers.

Hi everyone! HAPPY 2012! I I swear, the year 2011 passed by me in a blink of an eye. I still can remember the 2011 countdown advertisement song on teev! "Baby you're my firework~"

Hehe, I know it's been a long time since I've updated this space. I'm just too lazy :/ Before, I worked in Marks & Spencer, Centrepoint Mall for 5 weeks. It was super tiringgggg. I didn't even have the energy to spend with my family, and was kind of snappish at the last week at work cos my pms came :/ Sucks to be a girl. But oh well, at least I've earned money myself for the first time! It's a really satisfying feeling, knowing that you're spending your own (hard-earned) money and not the money from your parents.

After my contract ended, I sort of lazed around at home, recuperating & gaining my energy and hype-ness. Haha!

Now I'm feeling really nervous for my O Level results. What if I don't get the results I wanted? What if..? Sigh. Not having much confidence in myself. Currently, life's boring. Not sure whether to meet up with friends to just go out and watch a movie together. Seems like a long time since I've hanged out with my girls. I feel like I have no aim, no purpose. Everything's detached to me and then I start wondering what's the purpose of my life. Yes, pms kicking in again. Anyway! I got myself a two-day job! As a retail assistant, interview's on Tuesday! Found something to do just now. Hehe wish me luck, both for my results and interview!

I'm considering being an emcee; you know, for the experience. I think it's really cool and I'm confident that i'll make a good emcee. Inspiration from Fiona, my school's senior! She's a really good emcee, and Haisong really admires her for her talents. Hehe. But then again, here's the thing: who will hire someone inexperienced? Guess I'll have to find opportunities in my new school, like being an emcee for school events and such.

Hi everyone! I'm back!

Yep, I know it's been weeks since my O levels has ended, but I never got around to blogging. Lazy me. There's nothing much that's going on in my life now, except................................................................. I'm addicted to Sims Social. But I'm not as bad as Jordan, I swear! He actually facebook chat me in order to ask me to help him get those stuff he needs on Sims, and even said this: "hmm i need help i text you k haha". Then he claims that Shiyu texted him before. Tsk, they are the true addicts.

Life is pretty boring now that Os have ended. Tried finding jobs, but maybe cos I'm picky, I haven't gotten any yet, even when it's after two weeks. I know I know... Social life is boring too. Arranged swimming date with the other girlies but due to some *ahem* reasons, we're re-scheduling it to next week! Hopefully I'll be able to go. It's been.. What? 1 month since I've last blogged? I'm really really busy recently with all the piles of homework teachers gave. I swear that I've never been this busy before. Remedials are the worst. We get back home late = tired, won't be able to finish homework on time/give a sloppy piece of work. We're forced to do papers during then, whether we like it or not. Urgh. It kills my brain cells, especially when I have to do Combined Humans and History papers. At least I believe that I do benefit from it. I'm also starting to get used to this hectic life, even if it''s a brain-numbing process. Like what the girl who wrote to Mr Heng, it's starting to feel like we're some sort of production. I just hope that my energy doesn't die out on me. I'm starting to get a sore throat. Sigh. I can't be sick now. Its nice to relax for that few hours, but the feeling is horrible when I see the amount of homework that has to be done when I go back to school the next day -_-

Blogging now to take my mind of this lousy feeling. People may think that my life is perfect. The truth is so far from it. No one has things going smoothly for them. I'm no exception. I'm constantly trying to improve myself, bit by bit, day by day. I'm looking at things more simply because that way, I'll be able to be happier. Yet.. Sigh. Maybe by putting in my effort for someone, I've unknowingly had this expectation. Expectation that that person will genuinely like what I've done for him/her. Or just appreciate what I've done? Bleah. My English seems to worsen when I don't blog. Shall not continue.

At least I'm feeling better. Even if it's a little.

ManlyMan brought me to Ichiban Sushi cos it's been a long time since we went there & he wanted to treat me for my birthday ^^ I really enjoyed myself the whole day with him cos he made me laugh so much & its been a long time since we could actually spend the whole day just slacking together. We watched Home Alone 3 before heading to Clementi Mall. I don't care how old the show was because it was really funny. If you're really bored, you can try to watch it! :)

Okay, so anyway, its rare that he wants to take photos so enthusiastically, although he kept making funny faces.. :( The pink must be really affecting him.. I love Moon River!! It's the float featured above & it's really awesome! Haha.

Although I don't look my best today (but he looks handsome hahahaha), I'm pretty satisfied that we managed to take several really pretty photos & I appreciate the time spent together :) To think that I used to take all these time spent together for granted.. :( Can't wait for tomorrow! It's the last day we can spend time together before he leaves for his camp :( Hope he won't be too exhausted after that leadership camp cos he just finished his dance camp yesterday, and we all know how taxing camps can be.

Day out with Weiyi in advance for my birthday! I really enjoyed myself cos it was a really simple outing with her ^^ The cutest thing is, she wanted to buy a mini cake from Polar to celebrate my birthday and she asked me. Haha. I was still following her blindly, wondering why did she go near that cake shop. Heheh. Thanks for the thought :') Jingyi couldn't join us cos she had red eyes + her body was sore from bowling yesterday so.. :(

Oh and yes! Weiyi wore a floral dress for me! So we were both wearing floral today ^^ And yes, I'm honoured~ Haha. The second time taking neoprints for her, and again, its with me :D

Not only it's Friday, it's the last day of school! :) Actually there's not much difference cos I still have to go back to school for supplementaries and dance. Even at home, I'll have to clear that pile of homework and sort out my files.. :(

I shall not dwell on it :< At least I'll have a more flexible time to sleep, study, meet up with friends.. Speaking of meeting up with friends, I'm going out with Weiyi and Jingyi this Sunday!! ^^ Like finally~ Haha. K, hope I don't spend too much on Sunday cos i'm still going out next week.

I finally took out the flowers from its wrappings and placed it in a blue "vase". Amazingly, they're not dying after.. 2 days. :) The flowers are in my kitchen now.

Fuhua Dance Appreciation Day 2011

I can't really remember what happened already haha. But I remembered going there earlier and we waited till 3.45pm before everything started. It was the distributon of dance schedule first --> Stepping down for Chair and Vice-chairman --> promotion ceremony for chair, vice & special assistant etc --> giving out of SYF certificates --> goodies bag from Miss Huang --> Watch International dance's SYF --> board with well wishes etc from dancers!!

Yes, I want to thank all the dancers! :) Vivian for initiating the board of well wishes, Huiyi for buying the board & Jiajia for buying the photos :) Of course, everyone who wrote for me ^^ I'm really touched cos I wasn't expecting something so big for us cos this graduating batch - which consists of.. 13 people - is really huge as compared to the other batches. Thank you dancers!! :')

Afterwards, there was a celebration for those birthday girls who has yet to celebrate their birthdays. So yay, i got a cake! :)

Hi!

Sigh~ I'm going to die of boredom :( I feel like a caged bird. It sounds a bit dramatic but yesss, I do feel like that now. Okay, actually the feeling is close to suffocation -_- I want to buy and buy stuff but no money.. WHY I DON'T HAVE GAIGAI FRIENDS!! :( I can't disturb Hs now cos he's having his gp exams on Friday. Zzz.

Alright, I shall stop whining and repeating what I've written in the previous post. Haha. There's something to look forward to!! I'm going to Weiyi's house on Monday to watch some scary movie with her. heheh ^^v

After school, I went to Weiyi's house cos there was once she tricked me & told me I can come to her house to watch movies but in the end, I found out she was kidding -_-

We went to Boon Lay Shopping Centre, if I'm correct, to get bubble tea cos Weiyi recommends them. Then when we were leaving the shopping centre, the rain came~ She said her house was near, so we took only her umbrella and raced to her house. Haha lazy me, i know :x Our backs got really wet, and we were laughing the whole way through :} We raced until we reached a Police post where we stopped for a while cos we both felt like dying from running. Haha. Our stamina is really..

So anyway, when we reach her house, Cai Mama gave me a towel and Weiyi's P.E shit + skirt to wear. Heheh. We then searched for movies to watch but her comp was lagging on her and everything was in Chinese :x

Decided to watch Resident Evil and at the start, Weiyi got a shock when a face suddenly appeared that she totally backed away LOL. But after a while, she got bored, so we switched to watching another movie, this time in her living room with the big TV! I can't remember the movie name, but it was similar to Resident Evil -_- You know, human eating human while the main characters never got hurt...

When I was waiting for Hs to end his dance practice, we looked through her baby photos. Haha. Weiyi has a flair for modelling lor!! I think my baby photos are all pretty awkward, like arms straight by my sides cos I really don't know what to do :x Luckily mummy usually takes the top part of my body only. Heheh.

I finally left Weiyi's house at about 8pm, when Hs finally ended his dance practice -_- We bused to Clementi Mall, but by then, I don't have much appetite & the thought of food turns me off. Don't know why~ Anyway, much to Hs' relief (cos we can finally eat something LOL), we settled for KFC, which is like going to be our usual place for our Friday Dinner Dates. Haha. I'm that predictable :x

As for yesterday, Hs came over after his dance practice & we surfed the net for a while together before heading for Macdonald's to get some.. Blackforest Mcflurry? Not too sure what's it called but I didn't really like it cos the chocolate syrup was waaaaay too thick for my liking. I then headed to Clementi Library to borrow + return books. Was there until about 7pm.

I have an urge to decorate my bedroom's walls with photos! It'll be something like what Ziilia did, except that I want to spam my entire wall :) I'll print and then put the photos on the wall during the June holidays I guess! Heheh. ^^

Sorry for the ultra lousy photos. Haha. But anyways, I just cut my fringe! =) Was supposed to cut in the afternoon, but as you know me.. Haha. Because my fringe is super thick and it's been quite some time since I last cut it myself, I took about 30 minutes instead of my usual 10-15 minutes :x

Now my fringe resides around my eye area, which is just perfect for me =)

One of my buys today was this! (Above picture) It's called L'oreal Elseve Smooth-Intensive 1 Minute Caring Mask (For your hair).

It doesn't really look like that actually. It looks more like the picture below. Tried googling for it but I can't find the actual product so yeah. Mum gave me a sample like the one below, and I used it, the entire packet. I think it's a bit too much and I regretted it immediately when I started washing my hair. I think I washed my hair for about 5-10 minutes but I've got a feeling that there's still some remnants on my hair because my hair is as smooth as the gel (?), so I'm not sure if I washed all the gel away. Okay actually, I don't want to know LOL.

But yes, the thing is, MY HAIR MAGICALLY GREW SOFTER. And to me, I like the smell! =) Heheh. So yup, when I was in Jurong Point, I headed to the NTUC (Haha sounds like some auntie :x) to get it ^^

So for people who have kind-of dry hair, go get it!! But if it does not work on you, don't blame me :x

So anyway, for the past few days, I've been doing this:

I just wanted to clear those photos above. They're in my camera for a very loooong time, so yup! Hope you didn't get sick of my face :x

So here's a question that I've pondered for a long time. Someone whom I once cherished a lot asked me, "Would you date a younger guy?"

I was stunned by the question at first. In the past, I would reject the idea immediately cos I find it awkward to even think of dating someone younger than me. As I probed the topic deeper, I realized that my aversion to dating younger guys was because most guys at my age are still so childish, what more a younger guy? (Yes I know, generalizing here a bit) I'm sure that girls wants guys to take care of them, not the other way round. I'm like this, so yeah. Poor Hs have a lot of responsibilities :p

So my answer to the question now (After enlightenment LOL) is no, I won't mind being with a younger guy as long as he is mature enough. & as long as there's love.

I used to think that I can only love a person (as in for relationships), so I played around with friends & never took my crushes seriously. Which is good in a sense cos I didn't become like some lovesick girl with the one-sided-love kind of fate. I find it ridiculous and impossible (And still do actually) to like, love your ex, and the ex before, and the ex ex before that, and now, your current boyfriend! But then I suddenly got enlightened LOL. I realized that I was wrong (again). It's possible to love a lot of people, but I guess people will have to differentiate between love, lust, and fleeting feelings before they declare their "undying love".

Okay, here's another topic LOL. Sorry lah, my thoughts keeps flowing. Many people asked this question, "Does love dies/fade away/whatever?" My answer? Yes, its possible. But its not possible for the feelings/love to suddenly be gone overnight la. Then again, the question they asked, the love they're mentioning, I guess, is those passion-passion love everyone feels at the start of a relationship. Like "boomz! I'm in looveee~" and suddenly the world seems like a better place to live in, and you start declaring that you can't live without XXX blahblah. After a while, this sort of feelings fade to a kind of familiarity, a partnership. The kind of feeling that you feel like you're coming home after a long day. Those sort. That's when people start to question if the love has faded. To me, at the start, it felt like it is. But after thinking through a pretty long time, I discovered that no, those sort of coming-home-after-a-long-day feeling is still love. Just a different sort of love. Yeah la, me and Hs a bit of like this le. Haha. Not that I'm willing to give up this relationship for passion-passion love!! LOL.

Like love can come in many forms. Don't tell me you feel those passion-passion love for your parents, friends, grandparents etc -_- If you are, I think you're a weirdo LOL. The love everyone experiences for their kinship is mostly like.. well, like how you love your family. Understanding & being able to tolerate each other. That type of love. I'm presuming that you'll feel differently for your friends too (Maybe not to your BFF cos you might already treat them as family, but to closer friends). The kind of love like you know you'll want to protect them from any hurt (hahahah I know I sound gay). Aiyah, confirm you'll feel this way with your friends one!! I experienced that with Jingyi and Weiyi. LOL. Oops, secret revealed T.T Before them was a super nice friend called Felicia :') omg miss her so much!

Okay, sorry for random post + abrupt ending. Haha. Having mood swings now I guess? Hmmm. I KNOW WHY. I ATE FINISH MY CHOCOLATES!! <:

Anyways, Mid-Year Exams has started now. Studied real hard for SS (at least for the past two days :x), so I hope my efforts haven't gone to waste. For SEQ, I kinda changed the way I usually write, like adding how I feel/think is a factor instead of sticking to the normal vomit-everything-out to the paper cos the question was a lil' twisted so it's kind of hard to just spew out all the information. Oh well.

Oh & yes, because of MYE, most likely this space will be dead for about a week or so. So peep in here a week later k? :-)

JJC Talentime 2011 - F.Y.I

(29th April 2011)

Rushed back home after school to change and have my dinner. Imagine having dinner at 4+ :( By the time I reach home after the entire performance, I was super hungry. There's Dance Dinner yesterday, but.. For Haisong, I went for his Talentime instead. Met Wai Chi, Hs' friend, with her boyfriend JiaJun at Clementi MRT Station. We then travelled to Newton MRT before taking bus 700 to ACS (Barker Road). Weiyi was supposed to come with me to watch JunTong's performance too, but in the end, the tickets were all sold off so.. :(

The concert/competition was really awesome. The vocal & dancing groups were really good. Especially Kellie Chong, who sang in the Vocal English category. Her voice is sassy and she's really adorable. So it's kind of sad that she was the 1st runner up cos I really felt she should have been the champion. Haisong's dance group, L4D, was awesome too! :) But they got 2nd runner up and he was kind of upset, because the competition was also based by votes, and most of their supporters/friends couldn't get the tickets although they've bought them cos the venue was too small -_- The champion for Dance category was cute lah, but I thought Hs' group should have won. Haha. Okay maybe I'm being biased but whatever~ I guess next time they need to choreograph it to be a cuter version or something.

We headed back home via MRT. Called daddy to fetch me because by the time we reached Clementi, it was already 11.45pm and I wanted Hs back home to rest.

Overall, I enjoyed myself :-) I was really impressed by the people competing cos they were really, really good. Oh! And sorry Weiyi, I didn't video your brother's performance :-( I totally forgot until they were already dancing halfway cos I couldn't recognise your brother. Haha.

Oh and yes! Happy birthday Qiongdan (30 April) ! Heheh ^^

SYF is over and I feel a sort of sadness. Everyone only started bonding together for a week or so before SYF, so we haven't really cement this bond when this is probably the last time we're all gonna dance together. Oh well. We'll definitely go for outings together or something, so that these friendships will continue to last :') Promise I'll upload photos here when PQD uploads them on facebook.

Now let's talk about today! :-)

Woke up around 0345 and I rushed to pack my bag and eat breakfast etc so that I can reach the bus stop by 0430. Chester was going to meet me there as his mum agreed to fetch me to school. Turns out he only woke up at 0430 and only arrived at my bus stop 15 minutes later.. And as usual, Bread Boy ate his bread on the way to school. Haha.

Once we reached school, we saw PQD, Zii, Alex and some other people which I couldn't remember cos I was still feeling sleepy, sorry! :x Helped dancers to gel and plait their hair. Heheh. Afterwards, I started to rush to put my make up and all. Danced a few times before taking group photos!! :) I admit that I didn't put in my 100% the practice before heading down to UCC cos I was trying to conserve my energy :x On the way to UCC, me and Choi tried taking photos but we look pretty scary so we deleted quite a lot of photos. Haha.

When we reach UCC, the 3rd & 4th item of the day was already waiting. Oops. But there wwas still plenty of time so we did a bit of touch up for the make up and took photos :)

We're the first item of the day, but the 33rd item of the entire SYF Chinese Dance. Danced full out and smiled like nobody's business. Haha. It's partially cos my lipstick got stuck to my Vampire Teeth so I had no choice but to smile throughout. Heh. I didn't make any mistakes that I know of, so.. =)

Went out to the garden behind UCC and took photos, although it's not as much as the photos we took in SYF'2009. We're all trying to think of cute poses to make. Haha. Ate our burgers and all and it started raining. So we head back inside UCC to wait for our bus.

When we went back, PQD, Zii, Jermine and Linnah started giving us tidbits, gummies & chocolates ^^ We then removed our make up et cetera. Headed down to the girls' toilet to wash the gel out of my hair with Linnah and Becca. Oh crap, that reminds me. I left my towel in the Aesthetics Room.. So anyway, we started having a bonding session. Played Tie Fu. Hehe. OH YES!! Chester was the only person who didn't remove his make up and even added blusher..

At about 1400 we all left Ae room for lunch. Those who went are me, Qiongdan, Ziilia, Linnah, Rebecca, Weiyi, Yolanda, Alex, Chester, T.Junhao, JordanTan, Sunzhong, and Jarett. I didn't know that Cold Rock's milk tea is so nice!! Haha. The last time I bought bubble tea from Cold Rock was when I was in Sec 1. I ordered Green apple ice blended and it taste weird so I didn't buy from them anymore. Thanks Linnah and Becca for buying the bubble tea for us!! :-) Had to rush back to school after lunch cos we had to make up Chem SPA, which is crucial/vital for our next Chem SPA exam. & I fell asleep halfway through the experiment.. Shows how tired I am huh. In the end, Choi and I could not take it so we left although we didn't complete the experiment.

Back for a while! Will blog a bit before I'll head over to grandpa's house for dinner.

During dance yesterday, I think we danced about 10 times for the full dance. It was crazy. I perspired like mad, and the guys' perspiration was dripping all over the AE room. Gross. What's worser, SZ's back was really wet and I had to sit on him. After I came down, I look like I pee-ed on my tights -_- My tights and shirt went straight into my washing machine when I reached home. Haha.

So today, The Cocoa Trees came over to school to sell their stuff at a cheaper price for charity! I forgot about it actually, but when my classmates came back after recess with bags of sweet stuff, I got jealous. Haha. Okay, actually what really tempted me was Farhan's white chocolates. Went to buy chocolates after school to satisfy my craving. Heh. Not only that, I'm doing charity too y'know~ =D Oh but when I reached there, the white chocolates were sold =(

Weiyi pei-ed me to buy, and she got tempted (again, cos she bought chocolates during recess already), so she bought more stuff with me ^^ The aunty also gave me some waffle sample (The tiny blue wrapper located next to my Belgium chocolates at 2nd picture below) leh~ We took bus 198 together afterwards cos she was meeting someone else. Heh. I think it's the second time I'm taking bus with her. So sad right, friends for four years, but we only took the bus twice together :x

Here's my haul! ;) Okay, I didn't really buy much, but still. It's a first for me to buy so much chocolates at one go. Hope I tempted you too! The Cocoa Trees will still be selling tomorrow, so go and buy their stuff tomorrow!! Don't regret not buying hor. Heh.

2 more days more before I can see Haisong!! Can't wait. Heh. It's true that absence makes the heart grows fonder. Hope it's true for him too. :$ Oh & you know what, we almost can't ever meet each other anymore cos..

You're still here? Alright, then I'll blog about my life now. To sum it all, this week is a Sucky Week. Not going to explain. Family, relationship, studies.. Sigh.

It really doesn't feel like it's Friday today whereas Tuesday and Thursday felt like it's Friday. Weird? Lunch with Weiyi at the red chair hawker centre. Jingyi had to rush back to school cos her lessons was going to start soon. Ate my usual before we went to 7-11 cos I had to top-up my card. The funny thing that happened when we were back in school is that we went in to library, signed our name in at 1.48pm to enjoy the air-con, but we had to sign out at 1.50pm cos Peiyi smsed us that Chinese lessons have started. Tsk. Hope the librarians won't think that we were playing :x

Dance afterwards. Perspired like crazy, which was what happened yesterday too.

Was playing this heng-cha thing where some of the girls did heng-cha and squeezed together, when XLS came and pushed Weiyi! She moved in a few degrees and we were both screaming in pain. He only released us a few minutes later. My legs couldn't move for a while :( He then attacked LingJie and Jermine and I helped him. LOL.

OH and while I was learning this couple dance from Weiyi and practicing with LingJie, XLS wanted me to look shy/coy, but I look like a tiko instead -.- LingJie saw my face and cracked up. Zzz. Then XLS saw my face and laughed like mad. The entire dance then followed :( Haiyah, I really don't know how to get rid of that tiko look leh :(

After dance, I managed to tempt everyone who was walking home with me to buy food. Heheh ^^v Nice Yolanda pei-ed me until my 198 came. Thanks Yoyo! :) Am really exhausted. Yesterday, I didn't even really complete any homework because I was really beat. :( Hope my stamina and everything improves, at least for the next two weeks so that I can continue my life~

Was supposed to go for study date with Hs tomorrow but he has Talentime (sp) rehearsals so.. Sigh. Sad life me will go to library alone tomorrow. Hmmm.. Maybe I shall pei mummy to Jurong Point and buy something. Heheheheh. Oh and also explore the new Clementi Mall!! I'm babbling now. Bleah. Bye~

Hi!

I'm back for a while, going to update tumblr and clear my emails soon. So yesterday was the international dance's SYF. Although they "screwed up" with the lights not working for one box (their props), dancing wrongly, and people falling, I think that they've done their best. Even if they might not get good results or whatever (choy), I've seen them improve so much over the past few months and I'm really, really proud of 'em :-) And I think that's what really matters. Learning the right attitude and finding that passion to dance. I hope that they'll continue having this sort of positive mindset and have the passion to dance even after they leave this school.

Venice.

Miss Tan taught us the rise of Venice today. Wonder if I'll be able to see Venice in my lifetime. If I could, I want to go there when they are having their masquerade festival! I want to see all those beautiful masks in person. Miss Tan says that the shops there sells them, and people would be wearing the masks during that few days. I've seen so many beautiful pictures of them, but I would really like to see lots of people wearing masks, rather than just admiring those masks on photos. I don't know, it appeals me to be identity-less even for a day. I wonder wow does it feel like to do things without any responsibilities weighing down on you. Hmm.

Hi I'm back!

Posting a quick one before I head to pop's house for dinner. Deleted the previous post cos everything's alright now. Hope it stays this way. Went to see the international dance practicing at the hall just when I was leaving the school. After I finished doing my homework, it was 5 plus so I thought they've finished their rehearsals. But when I was at the first floor, I heard their song and I ran up for them lo. Haha. Was eager to see them perform :-) Seeing how much they've improved and how bonded they are, I feel proud for them. Heh. Hope that they'll continue to have this bond and passion for dance until they leave this school :-)

Shocked that I'm posting twice in a day? You can ignore this post actually. I just need to vent all these out.

So many things happened this week. I think I'm very sensitive now. Not like I'm not before. Even by listening to music can make me tear. Which is a surprise cos I thought I've cried out all my tears. I've experienced so many emotions this week that I'm really amazed that I've not gone crazy. Jealousy, anger, disappointment, fear, happiness, sadness. Although things are alright now I guess, there'll always be a scar. I don't know. I want things back like before, although I guess it's not possible. People always say that changes are inevitable. I know that. But why is it that things have to change so much in such a short time? Perhaps it's actually a gradual change. I've been the one turning a blind eye. Everyone's leaving, and it's all my fault. I don't know how do I put this. Maybe I'm going into depression. Maybe I really am going crazy. Even the rock I've been leaning on for these years is slowly crumbling down. The meaning of my name is "Happiness". Why is it that I can't feel that recently? I just want to be happy. The surrounding people around me to be happy. I don't want to drag anyone down, yet I'm doing that right now. Dragging people down. I'm so disappointed with myself. Why is it that I'm breaking down now?

I'm dying inside. I'm screaming, begging for help but no one listens.

I don't really feel the cny festive spirit this year but oh well. It's quite fun this year though cos I went to Weiyi's house yesterday! :) Hs Zii PQD Jia Sunzhong and Min came too. There's Wii, food and angbaos. ~.~

After that, Hs and I went to his house to bai nian. We ate dinner there and then we played Monopoly Deal! Haha. It's really fun. :) Much more interesting than the board game version. I think I'm obsessed with it now. :x Anyone who has the cards tell me! Let's play together. :)

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :)

It's been quite some time since I've blogged. I'm going to "shou ye" now, which explains why I'm blogging now.

So anyway, we performed the Tibetan dance for school's CNY celebration ~~this morning~~ yesterday. Some people said it's nice. Heheh :) Mr Peter Teo even said it's alright, just that the last part is pretty messy or something.

After the dance, some stayed back to play Tiefu. And as what Zii said, surprisingly, the wushu guys who stayed back to play were pretty enthusiastic. Laughed and ran a lot. Yes, I perspired a lot too :/ Then, the people playing left one by one until there's only about 5-6 of us, so we stopped playing.

Headed to Hs' house after that. I swear, there's a screw loose on his head or something. He was very high the whole day. Watched Rapunzel: A Tangled Tale on his computer and then some dance clips on YouTube before heading home cos it was getting late.
